[origin: WO2014161633A1] The invention relates to a valve gear system for a combustion engine in a motor vehicle, comprising at least one axially displaceably mounted cam element (10) that has at least one cam (11, 15) with at least two cam parts (12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18) and a slotted guide (19) with at least one guide track (20, 21) designed to convert a turning movement of the cam element (10) into an axial shifting force, wherein there is an at least partial axial overlap between at least one of the cam parts (14, 16) and the at least one guide track (20, 21).
