Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2014166632A1] The present invention relates to a truck mixer having a drive (2) and an encoder unit (7) by means of which a drive (2) of a mixing drum (1) can be controlled. For this purpose, the encoder unit (7) comprises an actuator (9) and a sensor (14). A velocity of the mixing drum (1) of a mixing unit, for example that of a truck mixer, can be controlled by the actuator (9). A neutral position of the actuator (9) of the encoder unit (7) can be detected by the sensor (14). In the neutral position of the actuator (9), the mixing drum (1) of the mixing unit does not rotate. By means of the encoder unit (7), a neutral position of the actuator (9) is easily examined and rotating of the mixing drum (1) is not permitted again after standstill of the mixing drum (1), for example after actuating an emergency stop switch, until the neutral position of the actuator (9) of the encoder unit (7) has been detected by the sensor (14).
