[origin: WO2014139726A1] The invention relates to a mechanism for opening and closing doors on a vehicle (1). Said mechanism includes a frame, in relation to which the door is movable. The mechanism (19) includes: a rack (21), placed in or on the door and attached thereto, in a manner that is substantially parallel to the sliding direction of the door; a motor (25), attached to the frame of the vehicle and having one outlet which is provided with a planetary reduction gearing (27) having a first outlet; and a first gear engaged with the first outlet of the planetary reduction gearing and rotating a second gear, which is engaged with the rack, thus making it possible, by turning, to slide the door.
