[origin: WO2014167118A1] The invention relates to a sensor device (1) for a shaft, in particular a steering shaft, of a motor vehicle, comprising a torque sensor device (100) for detecting a torque applied to the shaft, wherein the torque sensor device (100) has a magnetic stator, which is designed to conduct magnetic flux and comprises two stator parts (14, 15) arranged at a distance from each other along an axis (41), which stator parts each have a ring disk (18, 19) arranged perpendicular to the axis (41), and comprising an incremental sensor device (40), which has a transmitting element (46) connected to the stator in a rotationally fixed manner and a receiving element and which is designed to output a signal pulse on the basis of a relative motion between the transmitting element (46) and the receiving element at predetermined angular intervals of the shaft, wherein a respective plane (42, 43) arranged perpendicular to the axis (41) is defined by each of the ring disks (18, 19) of the magnetic stator and the transmitting element (46) of the incremental sensor device (40) is arranged axially between the planes (42, 43).
