[origin: EP2985444A1] An air intake apparatus suitable for use in an induction system of a machine, the apparatus comprising: an air intake duct comprising an inlet, through which air may be drawn into the machine; and means configured to communicate at least one internal region of the duct at a first pressure with at least one internal region of the duct at a second pressure, so as to reduce the difference between the first pressure and the second pressure.
