Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2014170578A1] System for managing a collection of objects, for example in a store, employing (RFID) identification tags (O) arranged in object locations and individual tags (ID-O) associated with the objects. The objects are identified using a portable tag reader (RFIDL) either operating in a local mode (M1) or in an individual mode (M2), said reader being connected to a control unit (UC) that controls the operation of the reader. The local mode (M1) consists in reading the tag (ID-Pj) of the display location (Pj) of a group of objects (Oi) and in reading the tag of the objects located in this location for comparison and verification. In the individual mode (M2) the tag of an individual object is read over a very short distance.
