[origin: AU2015215945A1] The invention relates to an active body, comprising an active material (1) for the pyrotechnic production of smoke or for providing a pyrotechnic decoy target and a sheath (2) for containing the active material (1) as well as optionally an ignition means, wherein there is at least one gap (3) between the active material (1) and the sheath (2), wherein the nature of the gap (3) is such that it extends over at least 75% of an entire surface of the active material (1) and a flame can propagate through the entire gap (3) between the active material (1) and the sheath (2), wherein the nature of the sheath (2) is such that it only breaks open under a pressure building up in the sheath (2) as a result of a reaction of the active material (1) and - if present - of the ignition means after the flame has propagated through the entire gap (3). Die Erfindung betrifft einen Wirkkörper, umfassend eine Wirkmasse (1) zur pyrotechnischen Erzeugung eines Nebels oder zur Bereitstellung eines pyrotechnischen Scheinziels und eine Umhüllung (2) zum Einschluss der Wirkmasse (1) sowie optional einen Anfeuerungssatz, wobei zwischen der Wirkmasse (1) und der Umhüllung (2) mindestens ein Spalt (3) vorhanden ist, wobei der Spalt (3) so beschaffen ist, dass er sich über mindestens 75 % einer gesamten Oberfläche der Wirkmasse (1) erstreckt und sich eine Flamme durch den gesamten Spalt (3) hindurch zwischen der Wirkmasse (1) und der Umhüllung (2) ausbreiten kann, wobei die Umhüllung (2) so beschaffen ist, dass sie erst nachdem sich die Flamme durch den gesamten Spalt (3) ausgebreitet hat unter einem sich in der Umhüllung (2) durch eine Reaktion der Wirkmasse (1) und - sofern vorhanden - des Anfeuerungssatzes aufbauenden Druck aufbricht.
