Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2014202274A1] The invention relates to a device for monitoring a power semiconductor switch (10) which has means (30) for applying an HF voltage (UHF) with a frequency above a switching threshold of the power semiconductor switch (10) to the power semiconductor switch (10), means (36) for detecting an HF current (IHF,Ist) resulting from the application of the HF voltage (UHF) to the power semiconductor switch (10), means (40, 48) for comparing the resulting HF current (IHF,Ist) with an HF current (IHF,Soll) which is expected according to the switch state of the power semiconductor switch (10) on the basis of the application of the HF voltage (UHF) to the power semiconductor switch (10), and means (48) for generating a power semiconductor state signal (66) dependent on the result of the comparison. The invention also relates to a corresponding method for monitoring a power semiconductor switch (10).
