Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2014177529A1] The invention relates to a toggle clamp comprising a base (12), a clamping arm (20) which is hinged on the base such that it can pivot about a first pivot axis (18), a handle (40) which is hinged on the clamping arm such that it can pivot about a second pivot axis (38), a link element (57), which is hinged on the handle such that it can pivot about a third pivot axis (56), a first wedge element (60) having a first wedge surface (68), said element being guided linearly along a guide (58) and a second wedge element (74) having a second wedge surface (80) facing the first wedge surface, said second wedge element being adapted to the first wedge element and being guided linearly. In a first positional range of the handle, the first wedge surface and the second wedge surface are mutually spaced and in a second positional range of the handle, the second wedge surface is supported on the first wedge surface. The link element is connected to the first wedge element and is hinged on the first wedge element such that it can pivot about a fourth pivot axis (72).
