[origin: WO2014184653A1] A beverage producing system is provided comprising a capsule (1) containing beverage ingredients and a beverage preparation machine. The capsule (1) comprises a cup-shaped body (40) and a lid (41); the cup-shaped body (40) having a base (42) and a side wall (43) and the lid (41) being sealed to the cup-shaped body (40). At least a portion of the cup-shaped body is formed from a laminate material comprising at least an aluminium layer (71) and a polymer layer (72). A capsule and a method are also disclosed.
