[origin: WO2014184222A1] An auxiliary handle (18) is provided for a portable power tool (1). The user can grip the auxiliary handle (18) at a grip body (19). An annular clip is provided to clamp the portable power tool (1). The clip (36) has two unitable ends (32, 33). A pretensioned spring (39) presses the unitable ends (32, 33), for the purpose of uniting, against a stop (40) by way of a force that acts in a direction of action (29). A releasing device (41, 43) is kept in a starting position by the force, acting in the direction of action (29), of the pretensioned spring (39). The user can move the releasing device (41), counter to the force, acting in the direction of action (29), of the pretensioned spring (39), into a releasing position in order to remove the force pressing the unitable ends against the stop.
