Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung (10) zur Übergabe stabförmiger Artikel (11) der Tabak verarbeitenden Industrie von einem Längsförderer (12) zur längsaxialen Förderung der Artikel (11) auf einen Querförderer (13) zur queraxialen Förderung der Artikel (11) oder umgekehrt, wobei die Transportrichtungen T 1 des Längsförderers (12) und T 2 des Querförderers (13) in linearer Ausrichtung verlaufen, umfassend einen um eine Rotationsachse I rotierend antreibbaren Trommelkörper (14) mit mindestens einem Trägerelement (15), wobei jedes Trägerelement (15) um eine Schwenkachse II schwenkbar am Trommelkörper (14) angeordnet ist und Aufnahmen (16, 17) aufweist, die zur Abnahme, zum Halten und zum Abgeben von mindestens zwei stabförmigen Artikeln (11), insbesondere Tabakstöcken, ausgebildet und eingerichtet sind, wobei die Aufnahmen (16, 17) zur Änderung der Ausrichtung der stabförmigen Artikel (11) von längsaxial auf queraxial oder umgekehrt drehbar am Trägerelement (15) angeordnet sind, die sich dadurch auszeichnet, dass die Aufnahmen (16, 17) eines Trägerelementes (15) zur Veränderung der Position der stabförmigen Artikel (11) zueinander während der Rotation des Trommelkörpers (14) um die Rotationsachse I bewegbar ausgebildet sind.
