[origin: WO2014195016A1] During the production of sealed (cigarette) packs an inner pack (12) is provided with a film envelope (13) surrounding the pack content (group of cigarettes (11)). The group of cigarettes (11) is partially surrounded by an inner collar (14) having a collar front wall (22). The film envelope is cut off from a tubular film (18) of a continuously fed web of film (17). The pack content - block of cigarettes (16) is fed by a block conveyor (27) which interlockingly fixes the blocks of cigarettes (16). In the region of the web of film (17) or the tubular film (18) a connection to the block of cigarettes (16) or to the inner collar (14) is established, namely by thermal joining, gluing or the like, such that the block of cigarettes is fixed in a precise relative postilion to the web of film (17) even once it has left the block conveyor (27).
