This integrated installation allows for the flexible use of electricity using a method, in which the installation for electrothermally producing hydrocyanic acid is operated at times of high electricity supply and at least a portion of hydrogen obtained along with hydrocyanic acid and/or gaseous hydrocarbons is stored, and stored hydrogen and/or gaseous hydrocarbons are fed to the installation for generating electricity at times of low electricity supply.
