Abstract (en)
The present invention refers to an apparatus for separating one or more units of drugs from a continuous band containing a plurality of drug units (4). The apparatus comprises a frame (1) having a vertical extension and a longitudinal extension with respect to a support plane and comprising one or more storage compartment (2). Each compartment (2) is suitable to collect storage means for the continuous band (3). The frame (1) also includes one or more separating workstations arranged side by side along the frame (1), each of said separating workstations including at least the storage means for the continuous band (3) and a dragging unit (8) to apply a feeding motion to the continuous band (3) along the vertical extension of the frame (1). The apparatus is also provided with a cutting unit (9) suitable to slide longitudinally with respect to the frame (1) along each of the separating workstations to separate from each continuous band (3), in a single cutting run, a band portion (32) containing one or more drug units (4).
