Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2014202083A1] The invention includes a device (1) for applying and stripping socks (18) where the device (1) includes two parallel rails (2), which in one end are provided with a roll (4) and which in the opposite end are connected to a roll up mechanism (8), which can roll up a belt (11) and where the device (1) furthermore includes a sledge (6), which can slide on the parallel rails (2), where a sock holder pipe (7) can be mounted to the sledge (6) and where the sledge (6) is provided with one or more brackets (14) for connection to the belt (11). By use of the device (1) it is achieved that socks (18) can be applied and stripped by many people with reduced functionality, who would otherwise require help from care personnel. It is further achieved that care personnel, who use the device (1) become significantly less exposed to inappropriate ergonomic working conditions when assisting people who require help for applying and stripping socks (18) than it has hitherto been the case.
