Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2014202512A1] The aerial lift platform (7) according to the invention comprises a control station (8), a floor (71) comprising a positioning zone for an operator manoeuvring the control station, and a railing (72). The platform (7) comprises a protection device (9) located on a surface (72B) of the railing (72). The zone and the protection device (9) each extend on either side of a plane (PI) perpendicular to the first surface (72A) of the railing (72). A width (L9) of the protection device, measured perpendicular to the plane (PI), is larger than 30 cm. The protection device (9) is movable between: • - a retracted position, in which a protrusion height (D) of the protection device (9) relative to the railing (72), measured perpendicular to the floor (71), has a value below 10 cm, and • - a protection position, in which the protrusion height has a value above 30 cm. The railing (72) comprises an opening (724) for accessing the platform (7), which can be at least partially obstructed by closing means (4). Operator access to the platform (7), through the opening (724), requires positioning the protection device (9) in the protection position.
