[origin: WO2014201578A2] The invention relates to a cleaning apparatus (1), which handles water treatment and cleaning of the water (W) in a swimming pool (3) and can incorporate additional special equipment such as a camera (32) and microphone (32a) for more efficient control of the circulation pump (10), and which is compactly mounted on the pool edge (2) and is watertightly fully or partially submerged, and via the maintenance flap the inner holder (15) carrying the components requiring maintenance can be brought out and thus the containers (18) can be replaced or they are stored in the building (40) and are carried to the cleaning apparatus (1) by the metering tube (37), the metering pump (16a) being in the cleaning part (6) or in the buliding (40) also with a non-return valve (38) on the inoculating station (39). A recess (M) allows the cleaning apparatus to be held flush against the side wall (2a). An optional docking station (44) for a pool robot (45) makes cleaning easier.
