[origin: WO2014201478A1] The invention relates to a conversion set for a firearm (1) having a grip (7) and a breech (2) locked by a moveable barrel and comprising an ejecting opening (26). To permit timely opening of the breech (2) when using a replacement barrel (4) which does not lock the breech (2), the invention provides that the conversion set for use of a replacement barrel (4) which does not lock the breech (2) comprises a jacket (3) which may be connected to the breech (2) in a detachable, form-fitting manner, wherein said jacket (3) has a defined mass for the predetermined movement of the breech (2) following a shot being fired. Furthermore, the invention relates to a use of a conversion set of this kind. The invention further relates to a method for the conversion of a firearm (1) having a grip (7) and a breech (2) locked by a moveable barrel and comprising an ejecting opening (26). The invention also relates to a method for operating a firearm (1).
