[origin: WO2015028315A1] The invention relates to a method for operating a train control system for a section having section block segments (A-B, B-C, C-D, D-E), which method can be performed with comparatively little device complexity on the section block segments. According to the invention point-wise data transmission occurs between a respective section apparatus having a section-side radio apparatus (22) at each of the ends of the section block segments (A-B, B-C, C-D, D-E) and a vehicle device having a vehicle-device-side radio apparatus. At data points (e.g., 20) at the ends of the section block segments (A-B, B-C, C-D, D-E), the vehicle device activates respective address data of the signal (e.g., C) of the respective next section block segment (e.g., B-C) and section data of the respective next section block segment but one (e.g, C-D) and respective storage data in the form of a stored complete set of telegrams that indicate the possible states of the signal (e.g., C) at the respective end of the next section block segment (e.g., B-C). After each data point (e.g., 20) is passed, the vehicle device sends a transmission request (Sc) to the section-side radio apparatus (e.g., 22) at the end of the next section block segment (e.g., B-C), where secured information (Jc) of the respective signal aspect indicated on the signal (e.g., C) of said section block segment (e.g., B-C) is held ready by an information apparatus (23). Said secured information (Jc) is sent by the section-side radio apparatus (22) to the vehicle device by means of the device-side radio apparatus in order to select a current telegram in the vehicle device on the basis of the storage data by means of said secured information.
