[origin: WO2014206605A1] A pressure control valve (10) comprises a housing (20) with an inlet opening (16) and an outflow opening (18); a valve pin (12) which is guided in the housing (20); and a valve element (36) at one end of the valve pin (12), which valve element (36) is configured to close a valve seat (14) upon movement of the valve pin (12), with the result that a fluid flow (50) between the inlet opening (16) and the outflow opening (18) is interrupted. The valve pin (12) is divided into an armature pin (12a) and a valve needle (12b), wherein the armature pin (12a) has a hollow channel (47) and the valve needle (12b) has at least one side channel (48), with the result that, when the pressure control valve (10) is open, the fluid flow (50) is guided from the inlet opening (16) through the side channel (48) into the hollow channel (47) and from there into the outflow opening (18).
