Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2014206771A1] The invention relates to a detonator (8) for an active part of a mortar grenade (1), in particular for a mortar grenade that can be fired from a spigot mortar and has a detonator (8) arranged at the base (action face). In order to obtain in a simple and low-cost way a first safety system (10), for avoiding unintentional activation of the detonator (8), the invention proposes providing a locking pin (12), which can be moved axially by means of a restricted guidance, in a secured position of a pivotable detonator carrier (9) of the detonator (8) engages in a first recess (18) of the detonator carrier (9) and, when the mortar grenade (1) is fired, is withdrawn from the first recess by the propellant gases (25) acting on the action face (2) of the mortar grenade (1), wherein the restricted guidance of the locking pin (12) takes place by means of a shear bolt or shear collar bolt (14), which is provided with a guiding contour (16) and is arranged in a transverse bore (15).
