Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a video conferencing system (10) comprising: a camera assembly (100) for capturing images of at least one local participant (P1-P4) through a field of view defined by a range of angles; a communication module (860) for receiving images from and transmitting images to a remote video conferencing system; a screen (200) for displaying images of one or more remote participants captured by the remote video conferencing system, the screen being disposed between the camera and the at least one local participant, wherein, the camera assembly is configured to capture images of the local participants through the screen; and the screen is switchable between a capture mode in which the screen is transparent to light, enabling light rays to reach the camera and a display mode in which images of remote participants are displayed on the screen to the local participants.
