Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2015001080A1] The invention relates to a method for removing acid gases from a fluid flow containing nitrogen oxides, wherein a) the fluid flow is brought in contact with an aqueous absorbent, which contains at least one amino-group-containing compound, in an absorption zone, wherein a deacidified fluid flow is obtained, b) bringing the deacidified fluid flow in contact with an aqueous scrubbing liquid in at least one scrubbing zone and obtaining a deaminated, deacidified fluid flow, wherein the scrubbing liquid is recycled by means of at least one scrubbing zone, c) treating overflow from the at least one scrubbing zone with UV light, and d) combining the UV-treated overflow with the absorbent. The method enables the efficient decomposition of the nitrosamines contained in the absorbent.
