[origin: WO2015002605A1] The invention concerns a proceeding to apply self-adhesive labels (2) onto boxes (6) and the like products mechanically, the boxes (6) in question being transported by a conveyor (7) to an application station (8) for labels (2). According to the invention, the boxes (6) and labels (2) in question are held in position on a conveyor belt having suction function, which is running along the conveyor, by means of the suction function of the conveyor belt at an area of said application station (8) for labels (2) along the conveyor (7), a support surface, or the like, and at which area a label (2) is applied onto a box (6) in question in said application station (8). The invention also concerns an arrangement by which the proceeding is carried out.
