[origin: WO2015000647A1] The invention relates to a drying roller at least consisting of a cylindrical cylinder sheath, two covers placed on either side of said cylinder sheath, and two pins that are secured to the covers indirectly by means of a hollow shaft connected to the covers, or directly, said cylinder sheath and covers being welded together by an annular welding seam, and said welding seam comprising a joint with at least two parallel flank regions that lie opposite one another and are spaced apart from one another. The invention also relates to a method for producing a drying roller.
