Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2015004118A1] The invention relates to an item of cutlery (1) having a cutlery-item head (2), having a stem (3) formed from a shank part (4) and a handle component (5), and having a guide device (6) which has guide elements (8, 10) and by means of which the stem (3) can be altered in length along its longitudinal extent from a shortened, storage position into a lengthened, use position. Furthermore, a latching device (7) with interacting latching elements (15, 27, 28) is provided between the handle component (5) and the shank part (4). A first guide element (8) of the guide device (6) is formed by a first guide surface (9), formed on the shank part (4), and a second guide element (10) is formed by a first guide crosspiece (11). The latter is spaced apart from the guide surface (9) perpendicularly in relation to the first guide surface (9) and is connected peripherally to the shank part (4), in the region of longitudinal end sides (12), of the handle component (5) in order to form a guide channel (13). The guide device (6) is arranged at an end (14) of the shank part (4), said end being directed away from the cutlery-item head (2), wherein the first guide crosspiece (11), furthermore, also forms a first latching element (15) of the latching device (7).
