Abstract (en)
[origin: CA2917370A1] The invention relates to a wastewater lifting station, which has at least one solids collection tank (3), having at least one screen (6) for wastewater that is to be guided therethrough and contains solids, said screen being arranged in the interior of said tank. The screen (6) divides the solids collection tank (3) into a region containing solids (3a) and a region free of solids (3b). Moreover, the screen (6) is connected in a pivotable manner by means of at least one hinge (12) to a flange (10) of the solids collection tank (3). The screen (6) is formed in the edge region (6a) thereof away from the hinge as a rake having holes (13) that are open on one side in the screen plane. The wastewater containing solids flows through a feed (1) into the collection tank, is filtered through the screen (6), and the wastewater that is free of solids is collected in a tank downstream. When the wastewater lifting station pumps, the wastewater that is free of solids is pumped by a pump (5) in counterflow through the screen (6) into a pressurised line (18), the feed (1) being shut off by a check valve (2). The screen (6) is back-flushed in the process. Reliable cleaning of the screen (6), even of fibres, is achieved during pumping owing the rake shape of the screen (6).
