[origin: WO2015004325A1] The invention relates to a parking system for a vehicle (1-30). The system comprises: a vehicle microchip (1-32), which is installed in a vehicle (1-30) and arranged to transmit (1-38) a vehicle identification signal to a series detection devise (1-13, 1-17) through a first communications network; one or more serial detection devices (1-13, 1-17), arranged in connection with a parking place (2-2, 2-4, 2-6) and arranged to receive (1-38) the vehicle identification signal from the vehicle microchip through the first communications network and to transmit (1-39) the vehicle identification signal to a server unit (1-43) through a second communications network; and a server unit (1-43), which comprises a database (1-44) and a processor (1-46), and which is arranged to receive (1-39) the vehicle identification signal (1-30) from the serial detection device (1-13, 1-17) through the second communications network and to calculate, based on the identification signal, the time that the vehicle (1-30) used for parking.
