Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2015014466A1] The invention relates to a method and to a device for producing biomass consisting at least partially of aquatic plants for the production of feeds for animal or livestock nutrition, the plants being produced in a closed photobioreactor provided with stacked culture surfaces, according to the preamble of claims 1 and 12. In order to ensure that a reproducible direct intervention is made in the current plant production with regard to the desired resulting feed mixture, according to the invention the aquatic culture surfaces of the photobioreactor are divided into zones within the photobioreactor, in which zones different plant strains and/or plant genera having different constituent compositions can be grown and harvested cyclically, and the zones are divided up with respect to the attainable harvests in approximately the same ratio as the constituent composition of the plants cultivated therein with respect to the targeted constituent composition of the feed to be produced from a mixture of said harvested plants.
