[origin: WO2015017377A1] A vent system (10) for an enclosure (16) containing a liquid, the system comprising a vent module (12) including a housing (24) defining a passageway (30), a membrane (20) maintained in the passageway, and a sorbent (22) maintained in the passageway; and a flow control module (14) associated with the vent module and including a valve (52) having an inner channel (70) through which air is able to flow in a first direction and a second, opposite direction through the valve, where the flow control module (14) acts as a barrier to liquid flow through the valve (52) from the enclosure (16) toward the sorbent (22).
