Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2015015123A1] The electromagnetic actuator for a heat engine starter comprises at least one winding (24; 25) for creating a magnetic field and a magnetic circuit cooperating with the winding in order to cause a magnetic flux to circulate therein, the magnetic circuit comprising a yoke (322, 323) and a mobile core (321) that can be moved from an initial position to an end position. The magnetic field of the winding creates a magnetic force that acts on the mobile core in order to move it from the initial position to the end position. The magnetic circuit is arranged so that the derivative of the magnetic permeance of same relative to the position of the mobile core on the journey of same from the initial position to the end position, reaches the maximum value thereof before the mobile core reaches the end position of same. This means that the magnetic force is maximised before the end position, which limits the size of the shock
