[origin: WO2015022050A1] The invention relates to a camshaft assembly having a camshaft housing, and having a camshaft (1) that is rotatably mounted about a longitudinal direction (x) in the camshaft housing, wherein the camshaft (1) has a hollow shaft section having at least one radial inlet opening (5) for discharging a gas through the hollow shaft section, and wherein in the area of the at least one radial inlet opening (5), a splash protection device (6) is arranged. According to the invention, the splash protection device (6) is fixedly arranged on the housing such that the camshaft (1) can be rotated with respect to the splash protection device (6). The invention further relates to a camshaft arrangement comprising a camshaft (1) and a splash protection device (6).
