[origin: WO2015021960A1] When compressed air is transmitted, and in particular owing to the high contact pressure against a corresponding mating plug required for this purpose, plug connector retaining frames which are fitted with pneumatic modules (2, 3) are often also exposed to high forces over a long period of time. Owing to their associated slowly progressing deformation ("creepage"), air can escape from between the modules (2, 3), as a result of which the quality of the pneumatic signal transmission is considerably impaired. In order to improve this quality, the holding frame according to the invention comprises two holding frame parts which are produced from sheet metal. Each of these two sheet metal parts (1, 1') can have at least two contact regions (14, 14') with associated contact areas at which the sheet metal parts (1, 1') are screwed to one another by screws (142). A holding frame according to the invention, which is intended to receive six modules (2, 3), can therefore be fully fitted with pneumatic modules (2, 3) and despite this ensure high-quality pneumatic signal transmission.
