A touch-controllable illuminated bench comprising: at least one transparent or translucent wall (205) illuminated by illumination means (102); a controller (105) configured to control the illumination means (102); at least one touch sensor (103, 108) connected to the controller (105); wherein the controller (105) is configured to control the illumination means (102) in response to the signal received from the touch sensor (103, 108).
