[origin: WO2016096288A1] The invention relates to a vacuum pump (1) for a motor vehicle, comprising a single-piece rotor main part (2) which can be driven by an engine and which has at least one axial bearing portion (21) and an axial slide portion (22). The bearing portion (21) of the rotor main part (2) is rotatably mounted on a pump housing (3), and at least one rotary slide (4) which is mounted in a radially movable manner and which is operatively connected to the pump housing (3) is arranged in the slide portion (22) of the rotor main part (2). The aim of the invention is to increase the efficiency of the vacuum pump. This is achieved in that at least the slide portion (22) of the rotor main part (2) is designed as a hollow body (20) with a single flow chamber (24).
