[origin: WO2015021999A1] The invention relates to a sound-damping wall comprising vertical posts (2) and a plurality of damping elements (3). Such a damping element (3) comprises a housing (6), which is formed by metal sheets (8, 9), and a damping-material body (7), which is arranged in the housing and which is fastened in the housing (6) by means of an upper retainer (12) and a lower retainer (17). The housing (6) has ends, which are accommodated between opposite legs (5, 5') of the vertical posts (2). The ends of the housing (6) of the damping elements (3) are open toward the vertical post (2).
