The block 10 is formed into a solid made of autoclaved lightweight concrete having heat insulation properties as a main component and therefore functions as a heat insulation layer over the entire width of the block 10. The block 10 thus functions both as a structure member and as a heat insulation member per se. As a result, with the block 10, the strength and the heat insulation properties of the wall structure 1 formed by building up the blocks 10 can be ensured, and the wall configuration can be simplified.
