Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2015030655A1] A device arranged for the treatment of a cutting edge is shown, which device comprises tools (2, 3), which are located opposite each other in pairs and which are mounted and mutually movable in reciprocating directions of motion, which tools comprise two or more segments (2', 3', etc.), which are arranged at spaces and have a respective contact surface (5, 6), which segments are arranged to alternately engage the segments of the opposite tool, so that, between the contact surfaces of the opposed segments, there is formed a V-shaped notch of variable depth adapted for the insertion of a cutting edge to be treated, at least one of the tools (2, 3) featuring segments having an active, grinding or dressing or polishing contact surface. The segments (2'7 2", 2'") of an individual tool (2) are individually and independently of other segments included in the same tool movably mounted in a holder (7) arranged for the purpose, as well as biased in relation to the holder in the direction of the opposite tool (3).
