[origin: WO2015028728A1] The invention relates to a motor vehicle combustion engine that includes exhaust gas recirculation and has a rated operating mode and a modified operating mode of a cylinder (14) from which at least a portion of the exhaust gas is recirculated. The modified operating mode is offset from the rated operating mode by a combustion time, said offset resulting in the exhaust gas heating up to a temperature that is sufficient to cause condensates in an intercooler (90) to evaporate.
