The lock cylinder having a cylinder core supported inside the core receiving cut-out and having a plurality of guide slots extending through the core. Plate tumblers supported in the guide slots such that they can be displaced back and forth in the plate sliding direction between a locking position, in which the cylinder core is connected to the cylinder housing in a non-rotating manner about a cylinder axis, and a non-locking position, in which they are driven into the cylinder core and the cylinder core can rotate about the cylinder axis. Wherein two plate tumblers are connected to a single spring so as to be driven in opposite directions into their respective locking positions.
