[origin: WO2015062857A1] The invention concerns a connection piece for a switch pole of a switching apparatus which improves the properties of the switch pole as concerns centring and current-carrying capacity. According to the invention, a connection piece (1) for a switch pole (16) of a switching apparatus is provided for connecting in electrically conductive manner to a movement contact connection pin (18) of a vacuum switching tube (17) disposed in the switch pole (16). The connection piece (1) comprises a centring ring (9) for centring the vacuum switching tube (17), the centring ring (9) being formed from an electrically conductive material and being connected in electrically conductive manner via connection means (14, 15) to a connection region (2) of the connection piece (1).
