[origin: WO2015044540A1] The invention relates to a storage module (1) comprising a storage area (3) for storing, by accumulation, flat items (2) in a pile on edge, a main conveyor (9) which extends transversely to the storage area, a piling function for transferring an item from the main conveyor to the storage area and piling it behind the pile of items in the storage area, and a depiling function for extracting an item from the pile of items and transferring same to the main conveyor. The depiling function comprises an depiling plate (7) with a perforated belt and controlled suction, arranged between the main conveyor and the storage area, said depiling plate having a first segment parallel to the pile of items and a second segment adjacent to the first segment and extending obliquely to the first segment, said controlled suction being arranged in the second oblique segment of the depiling plate.
