[origin: WO2015044596A1] The invention concerns a method for processing a service request pertaining to a user in a communication network, in which, during a first so-called "detection phase", a query server queries a subscriber server in order to obtain an identifier of a home registration server to which it transfers the service request and, following a failure in the transfer, queries the subscriber server in order to obtain capacities that a registration server must have in order to be able to provide the services authorised for the user; and in which, once the home registration server is considered unreachable, a second so-called "optimisation phase" is triggered, during which a single transfer of the service request pertaining to a user is made to registration servers.
