[origin: WO2015051991A1] The present invention relates to a casting mould (1) for casting a piston (2) of an internal combustion engine, wherein the casting mould (1) has a surface texture (5) formed by grooves (4) in the area of a future inner surface (3) of a piston skirt, the grooves (4) having the following dimensions: a depth of 0.2 mm < t < 0.5 mm, a width of 0.02 mm < b < 0.05 mm, and groove walls (6) inclined outwards by 0° < α < 10°.This allows the cast piston (2) to be removed from the mould in practically all directions.
