[origin: WO2015055306A1] The invention relates to a conveyor unit for conveying loaded or unloaded load carriers (12), comprising a chassis (24) that can be moved on base rollers (26). A carrier element (28) entrained by the chassis (24) can be raised or lowered with respect to the chassis (24) such that in a no-load configuration, the conveyor unit can pass beneath a load carrier (12), and in a conveying configuration, the conveyor unit can pick up and convey a load carrier (12) by means of the the carrier element (28). By means of a drive system (30), at least one of the base rollers (26) and the carrier element (28) can be actuated. The drive system (30) comprises a traction drive (32) for the chassis (24) and a lifting/lowering device (52) for the carrier element (28), and is designed such that the carrier element (28) can carry out a movement, which is brought about by a superposition of a horizontal motion component of the chassis (24) and a vertical motion component of the carrier element (28). The invention further relates to a conveyor system for conveying loaded or unloaded load carriers (12) having several conveyor devices (18), wherein at least two each of such conveyor units (20) interoperate.
