[origin: WO2015052374A1] An energy converter comprises an electrical turbo-machine (201) for converting energy contained by vaporized working fluid into electrical energy, a condenser (204) for condensing the vaporized working fluid outputted by the electrical turbo-machine, a condenser tank (205) for storing the condensed working fluid, and a feed pump (206) for pumping the condensed working fluid from the condenser tank to a vaporizer (216). The energy converter can be based on for example the Organic Rankine Cycle. The energy converter further comprises a pumping system (207) for pumping gaseous phase working fluid from the gas-space (208) of the condensation tank to flow through a generator section of the electrical turbo-machine so as to cool at least the rotor of the generator section. Thus, the condenser is utilized not only for the thermodynamic energy conversion process but also for removing heat caused by the power losses of the generator section.
