Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2015055344A1] The invention relates to a method for operating a locking system. Said locking system comprises an electronic key, an electronic lock, and a central unit locally separated from the electronic key and form the electronic lock during locking operation. In the method, an external authorization code is produced by the central unit by means of an authorization-code determination program, the external authorization code is transmitted to the electronic key, the external authorization code is stored by the electronic key in a memory. When the electronic key interacts with the electronic lock, the external authorization code is read out from the memory by the electronic lock and is checked by a processor of the electronic lock in that the processor determines its own authorization code by means of its own authorization-code determination program and compares its own authorization code with the external authorization code received from the electronic key. If the processor's own determined authorization code is identical to the transmitted external authorization code, the processor enables an opening process.
