[origin: WO2015090932A1] According to the invention, especially for ETCS Level 2, an odometry correction balise for a route section is placed behind the end of authority (EOA) in the direction of travel. Advantageously, the invention makes it possible to dispense with a large number of the normally required additional odometry correction balises, without any unwarranted alerts being issued in the driver's cab of a rail vehicle and without any unnecessary braking maneuvers being performed.
