[origin: WO2015058891A1] The invention relates to a window or door with a hinge which forms turn axes, tilt axes, and/or tilt-turn axes (17) between casement (15) and frame (16), consisting of at least one operating rod guided on an overlapping rail, latching elements, locking parts, and/or at least one arrangement consisting of an opening stay for switching the hinge to differently operating axes (17), wherein at least one safety element (1) is provided on the turning axis side between casement (15) and frame (16), secured on this frame (16) and casement (15) in a manner resistant to being pulled out, wherein the safety element (1) has no function in the normal operation of the hinge, is effective outside of the permissible target positions of the casement (15) relative to the frame (16), and wherein a configuration resistant to being pulled out of a cord (2) is provided for the safety element (1), wherein the safety element (1) comprises an element (9) which is assigned to at least one casement side and one frame side abutment (3, 4) and wherein at least one abutment (3, 4) comprises a series of abutment steps (10) with predetermined breaking points, on which the element (9) is supported, lying in the direction of the effectively stressed element (9).
